Automotive and special vehicle windows often have to meet very practical requirements.

They need to fit the vehicle body, support safe use, match the expected appearance and work reliably in daily operation. In some projects, the key question is the opening function. In others, it is the installation method, the glass type, the frame finish, the handle, the sealing or the available space inside the vehicle structure.

KÖNIG manufactures window systems for commercial vehicles, vans, trucks, special-purpose vehicles, industrial vehicles and cabins. We can support both new vehicle projects and replacement needs based on drawings, samples, existing parts or technical specifications.

Window Types

Commercial Vehicle Windows

Window systems for vans, trucks and other commercial vehicles. These projects can include sliding windows, hinged windows, fixed glass solutions, emergency windows and other project-specific structures.

Special Vehicle Glazing

Window solutions for vehicles where the application has special technical or functional needs. This may include vehicles used in public service, industrial work, waste management, emergency response, construction or other special operating environments.

Cabin Window Solutions

Cabin windows for industrial, agricultural and utility vehicles. KÖNIG can support cabin projects where the window needs to combine compact dimensions, practical operation, sealing, visibility and a durable finish.

Replacement Windows

KÖNIG supports replacement needs for vehicle platforms that are still in operation after serial production has ended. Older window types can be manufactured in smaller quantities based on existing documentation, drawings or technical information.

Services for Automotive & Special Vehicle Projects

Special vehicle window projects often start with a specific technical need. The customer may have a drawing, an existing part, a vehicle body requirement or an idea that still needs to be turned into a manufacturable solution. KÖNIG can support this phase by reviewing the available information, checking feasibility and helping define the right frame, glass, bonding, installation and finishing concept.

KÖNIG handles key aluminium processing steps in-house. This can include cutting, bending, welding, grinding, deburring and frame manufacturing. Keeping these steps close helps with production control, technical coordination and quality consistency.

Automotive and special vehicle window frames can be produced with different finishes depending on the project. Typical options include anodized and powder coated surfaces. The right finish depends on the vehicle design, operating environment and customer requirements.

KÖNIG can support both sides of the process, from aluminium frame manufacturing to vehicle glass and glazing requirements. This helps the technical details, timing and production steps stay aligned from the beginning of the project.

Depending on the project, the window may require adhesive mounting, screws, a counter frame or another installation concept. KÖNIG can support the production of window structures that are prepared for the required installation method.

Quality is checked throughout production. Manual inspection and multi-stage control help identify issues earlier and support the level of consistency expected in automotive and special vehicle projects.

Customization Options

Automotive and special vehicle projects often depend on small but important details. KÖNIG can support different requirements depending on the vehicle and application.

Customization options may include:

Frame dimensions and geometry
Sliding, hinged, fixed or emergency window structures
Flat or curved glass options
Glass types and colours according to project requirements
Black or white ceramic silk print
Anodized or powder coated frame finishes
Manual or electric opening functions
Project-specific sealing, drainage and installation solutions

The final solution depends on the vehicle design, technical specification and production requirements.

Production Capabilities

From technical requirement to finished window system

KÖNIG manufactures automotive and special vehicle window systems through a controlled production process. The process can include aluminium preparation, frame production, surface treatment, glass integration, bonding, sealing, assembly and quality checks.

Because many key steps are handled in-house, the team can coordinate the different production stages more closely and keep better control over the finished product. This is especially important for special vehicle projects, where standard catalogue solutions often do not fit the vehicle body, function or operating environment.
